School of Law hosts discussion on morals and the law

Loyola School of Law hosts a lecture, “Delict, Morals and the Law,” given by Saul Litvinoff, the Michaelle Pitard Wynne Visting Professor at Loyola, on Thursday, November 19, at 12:30 p.m. in the Gisevius Moot Court Room 308 located in the law school.

Litvinoff is the director of the Center of Civil Law Studies. Currently, he serves as a consultant to the U.S. State Department, the Louisiana Department of State, and the Central Bank of Honduras, where he served for many years as the dean of the Central American Banking School. Litvinoff specializes in civil law obligations, civil law systems, contracts and Louisiana sales. He earned an A.B. in 1944, his LL.B in 1949, and his S.J.D. and S.C.D. in 1956–all from the University of Buenos Aires. In 1964, he received an LL.M. from Yale University Law School.
