Fund created to honor former professor

To honor the late Paddy Ann Doll, Ph.D., and her place in Loyola’s history, the Department of Psychology has created The Paddy Ann Doll Memorial Fund. Income from the fund will support scholarly and research projects of deserving Loyola students and faculty in psychology.

Professor Doll, who died of cancer on September 26, 1998, taught at Loyola for 35 years until retiring in May 1996. She established Loyola’s psychology department in 1961 and served as its chair. A scholarship, The Dr. Paddy Ann Doll Achievement Award for the Highest Scholastic Average in Psychology, was named in her honor. At the time of her retirement, she was named professor emeritus in the psychology department.

Professor Doll received her bachelor’s in psychology from Centenary College and master’s in clinical psychology from LSU. She also received a doctorate in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Houston.

For more information about contributing to The Paddy Ann Doll Memorial Fund, please call Professor John Cornwell at 865-2136.
