September 4, 1998 U.S. News gives Loyola High Marks
Loyola ranked eighth in the category of best regional universities in the South in the 12th annual Americas Best Colleges issue and guidebook published by U.S. News & World Report. This is the third consecutive year in which Loyola retains the eighth place position among the top 15 of 123 regional schools in the South. In commenting on this years ranking, University Provost David C. Danahar, Ph.D., said, We are pleased to be ranked among the top 15 regional universities in the South. Loyolas ranking is a strong indication of the caliber of our student body, the dedication of our faculty, and the strength of our academic programs. The quality of our student body, our faculty, and our staff allows the university to continue to attract exceptionally talented students. The academic strength and scholastic record of our incoming class of 2002 makes it the strongest class in the history of the university, adds Danahar. |
