Quiz Bowl Team is state champion, again

The Loyola University New Orleans Honors Association Quiz Bowl Team was named state champion at the annual Louisiana Collegiate Honors Conference, held at the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette.

The four-person student Quiz Bowl Team included David Pipes, team captain and history junior from Thibodaux, La.; Dimitrios Kombolias, classical studies freshman from Jefferson, La.; Jason Steinle, English sophomore from Arabi, La.; and Katie Vieceli, drama freshman from Carbondale, Ill.

William T. Cotton, associate professor of English and director of Loyola’s honors program, was mentor to the Quiz Bowl Team, which has received the championship title for two years in a row.
