Loyola hosts top executive and co-author of women success book

One of America's top female business executives will share her strategies for success with Loyola students on Thursday, October 30, in the Audubon Room of the Danna Center. The lecture is scheduled from 12:30-1:30 p.m. A book signing and sale will be held immediately following the lecture, from 1:30 -2:30 p.m.

Tina Santi Flaherty shares her secrets to success in her book, The Savvy Woman's Success Bible: How to Find the Right Job, the Right Man, and the Right Life. She believes that if a woman finds the right job, then all other aspects of her life will be satisfying. Flaherty stresses the importance of self-esteem and contends that "nothing feeds self-esteem like a great job and a sense of accomplishment." Flaherty decided to co-author the book with Kay Gilman, updating Helen Gurley Brown's classic, Sex and the Single Girl. The book is designed to tell women everything they need to know to get to the top, stay there, and enjoy every minute of the climb.

Flaherty was the first woman to become vice president at three of America's top companies: Grey Advertising, Colgate-Palmolive, and GTE. She is currently president and CEO of Image Marketing International, a company that specializes in helping corporations project a positive image through the creation of original marketing vehicles.
