Join alumni and faculty for an afternoon of sizzling jazz

The Al Belletto Big Jazz Band will perform a free concert at Christ Church Cathedral, 2919 St. Charles Ave. on Sunday, September 21, at 4 p.m.

Belletto, '48, is one of New Orleans' most respected jazz saxophonists. Joining him will be several Loyola faculty, including bassist Ed Wise, drummer John Vidacovich, saxophonist Frank Mayes, and pianist John Mahoney. Both Wise and Mahoney will contribute compositions and arrangements to the program. Other Loyola alumni will be featured including saxophonists Ray Moore, '80, and Steve Giarratano, and trombonist Steve Suter, '84.

The concert will be recorded and hopefully released on CD.
