Loyola press release - April 17, 2018

Attending a conference? Hosting a meeting? Planning prom? Loyola University New Orleans has rental space available for your next event at below-market prices.

Located along a historic streetcar line in the picturesque Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans, Loyola University New Orleans may be the place to hold your next gathering, whether that’s a conference of colleagues or ballet recital. Just 15 minutes from downtown, the Jesuit, Catholic university regularly plays host to meetings, conferences, concerts, dances, recitals, wedding receptions, and family reunions. Located on one of New Orleans’ grandest avenues, the historic and beautiful university is home to numerous events and activities hosted by both out-of-towners and local individuals and organizations.

Space is available to accommodate events ranging from small meetings of 15 people to larger gatherings of up to 500 people. Multiple classroom and meeting rooms are also available for break-out sessions or smaller group meetings. Buildings with space available for rental include: Loyola’s Danna Student Center, Monroe Hall, Miller Hall, Bobet Hall, Mercy Hall, and the university’s Communications/Music Complex.

Variety runs the gamut. From Satchmo’s Lounge and the Audubon Room to Nunemaker Auditorium and the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall, Loyola has a wide range of meeting rooms and concert halls available for rental use.

And, Loyola University New Orleans Event Services provides a one-stop shop for your single-day or multi-day conference or event. Event Services staff are here to assist you in planning all aspects of your event from selecting the perfect room to finalizing your catering needs.

Media equipment — including a media cart with laptop, projector, and speakers, screens, and corded and wireless microphones — can be provided for rooms used as meeting space. Additional media equipment may be reserved through Loyola’s J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library.

Coming to New Orleans for community service work or another educationally focused experience in the city? Loyola University New Orleans offers housing and meal plan options for groups needing overnight or long-term lodging in the city. We have space to accommodate groups staying for just one night or staying for the entire summer.

An inexpensive solution for those hosting conferences on campus, on-campus housing is available in most of the university’s residence halls: Buddig Hall, Biever Hall, Cabra Hall, and Carrollton Hall.
