Kellie Kennedy now the winningest coach in Loyola women's basketball history

Loyola press release - January 13, 2016

A new record was surpassed as the Wolf Pack women’s basketball team defeated Brewton-Parker 74-55 on the road on Jan. 7. Head Coach Kellie Kennedy earned her 156th win as our head coach giving her the most victories in Loyola women’s basketball history.

Under Kennedy’s direction, the Wolf Pack have advanced to the NAIA National Tournament three times and have tallied 20-plus wins in five seasons.

“This is really exciting and I am thrilled that I was able to accomplish it,” said Kennedy. "This record is significant and 156 is a significant number to me.”

With the win, Kennedy supplants long-time Loyola head coach Dobee Plaisance (1995-2008) for first all-time in career wins.

“Dobee Plaisance did a great job before me so to be able to surpass what she did at Loyola is a great honor,” Kennedy said.
