Weatherman Calling for “Sneaux” at Loyola University New Orleans

Loyola press release - December 3, 2015

Students at Loyola who are dreaming for a white Christmas are in for a treat.

On Wednesday, Dec. 9, “sneaux” will blanket the Marquette Horseshoe Lawn from 6 to 8 p.m. in a Christmas celebration complete with hot chocolate, Christmas music, photos with Santa, cookie decorating, ornament-making and more.

Snow in south Louisiana is a rarity—even in December. Sneaux, an annual celebration at Loyola New Orleans, gives Loyola students an evening of frolicking and tossing snowballs on our very own St. Charles Ave.

This year, the Stuart Hall Boys’ Choir and Bell Choir will perform, as will Birdz n’Beats an a cappella group of Loyola students. The event is open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and neighbors.

Free parking is available in Loyola’s West Road Garage located on West Road and accessible from St. Charles Ave.

Sneaux is sponsored by the Department of Student Involvement, Student Government Association, Loyola Alumni Association, Sodexo, Coca-Cola, PJ’s Coffee, Jimmy Johns, and Danté’s Kitchen.
