Loyola press release - December 1, 2015

23rd annual Christmas at Loyola concert is free and open to the public.

Join Loyola University New Orleans on Sunday, Dec. 6 for the 23rd annual Christmas at Loyola concert. This free event will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church on the university's main campus, 6363 St. Charles Ave.

A signature event, Christmas at Loyola is part of the university’s acclaimed Montage Theatre and Fine Arts series and one of the university’s biggest musical events of the season.

The concert showcases Loyola ensembles, including the Loyola Chamber Orchestra, the Loyola Jazz Band, the Loyola Brass Ensemble and the Loyola Choirs (the Loyola Chorale, the Loyola Chorus and the Loyola Chamber Singers). The event will also include an audience Christmas carol sing-along for children of all ages.

“Christmas at Loyola is a longtime New Orleans tradition,” said Meg Frazier, director of Choral Activities and Rita O. Huntsinger Distinguished Professor of Music at Loyola University New Orleans. “This community concert officially kicks off the Christmas season at Loyola.”

Christmas at Loyola is free and open to the public, and all Loyola students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to attend. Seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Free parking is available in Loyola’s West Road garage, located on West Road and accessible from St. Charles Ave.
