College of Law's free tax help for low-income taxpayers concludes Thursday

The Loyola University New Orleans College of Law's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, which offers free tax preparation assistance for people with low to moderate incomes, wraps up Thursday, April 10 with special extended hours.

The final sessions, designed by the Internal Revenue Service, are Monday, April 7 from 5-7 p.m. and Thursday, April 10 from 1-7 p.m. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program office is located at Loyola College of Law, Broadway Activities Center, 501 Pine St., Room 202.

Those attending tax preparation sessions should bring identification, Social Security cards for each member of their household, tax returns and all other tax documents, including W-2 forms, 1099 forms and Social Security statements. Please bring prior year tax returns and documents.

Loyola’s Volunteer Tax Assistance Program is affiliated with the Asset Building Coalition of Southeast Louisiana and the American Bar Association.
