Loyola cancels classes until Sept. 4 due to Hurricane Isaac

Loyola University New Orleans is canceling classes until Tuesday, Sept. 4, due to Hurricane Isaac. Students, faculty and staff do no need to report to class or work until Tuesday when classes and normal university operations resume.
Currently, the university is without power, however resident students who are sheltering in place have access to the university's resources of food, water and emergency services. No injuries have been reported. The campus has sustained minimal damage, and no buildings have any significant damage.
Please know that due power outages throughout the city, Internet service has been intermittent and has impeded our online communications to a degree.
