Student services make a new home in Thomas Hall

Loyola press release - August 5, 2011

Beginning this week, several offices catering to students will begin moving to sparkling new digs in the freshly-restored Thomas Hall, originally built in 1911.

The Offices of Admissions, Student Records, the Bursar, Financial Aid, and Student Finance are all moving from Marquette Hall to Thomas Hall, which will become a new resource hub for students and prospective students. With the exception of the Office of Admissions, business hours for the remaining offices will be suspended during the move. All phone numbers for the offices will remain the same.

Student Records will close at 2 p.m. today to begin its move to the new building and will re-open on Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. in its new location on the second floor of Thomas Hall in Room 204.

The Bursar’s Office will close at 2:30 p.m. today and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, August 8, on the second floor of Thomas Hall in Room 206. During that time, departments can pick-up account payable checks from Financial Affairs after 2:30 p.m. Friday and on Monday. Tuition payments and departmental deposits will be accepted by the Student Finance Office after 2:30 p.m. Friday and on Monday.

Student Finance will close on Tuesday, August 9 for the move. That office will relocate to the fourth floor of Thomas Hall in Room 406 and will reopen for business Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Students needing to discuss billing matters on Tuesday should see the Bursar’s Office in Room 206 of Thomas Hall.

The Office of Financial Aid will shut down for the move Tuesday, August 9 through Thursday, August 11, and will reopen Friday in its new location on the fourth floor of Thomas Hall in Room 410.

Admissions and the Office of Enrollment Management will move on Thursday, August 11, and Friday, August 12. However, the offices will continue to operate out of Marquette 315 until Friday, August 12. On Monday, August 15, Admissions will open offices on all floors of Thomas Hall, with primary offices being located on the third floor.
