Business professor gains international recognition
Loyola press release - May 16, 2011
The International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, headed by Loyola’s Lee Yao Ph.D., the Rev. J. A. Butt, S.J. Distinguished Professor in Accounting, has been accepted and is now included into SCOPUS, the world's largest online abstract and citation database.
Yao serves as editor-in-chief of the IJAIM and says the inclusion into SCOPUS is a major honor, as it is considered the gold standard for peer-reviewed research and quality web sources.
“Such inclusion is a major achievement for the journal and will allow our work to be reviewed by our colleagues around the world,” Yao said. “As an international, interdisciplinary scholar in accounting, finance and information systems, I am very pleased to see that the journal and Loyola University New Orleans are being recognized for our exemplary work.”
“The inclusion of the International Journal of Accounting and Information Management in this database is a testament to the high quality of the journal and the topical and relevant content that it publishes,” Emerald Group Publisher Rebecca Forster wrote. “The dedication of Professor Lee Yao to the journals continued success, the hard work of the editorial board and reviewers, and the authors and researchers who publish in the journal, is much appreciated and has helped the journal achieve this recognition.”
To celebrate the 20th year of publication, the journal will be publishing four issues a year. This will allow for further development of the journal and to allow the opportunity to publish more usable research.
