Loyola to host international conference on business sustainability

Loyola press release - May 16, 2011

The Center for Spiritual Capital, in conjunction with the Joseph A. Butt, S.J., College of Business, will host the 10th International Conference on Corporate Responsibility at Loyola University New Orleans from May 18 – 21. The conference, organized in cooperation with the Social Responsibility Research Network, will focus on this issue of business sustainability in the current global environment.

“Sustainability is a central concern of businesses, governments, and individuals,” said Loyola business ethics chair and CSC director Nick Capaldi, Ph.D. “This conference will explore the different factors that must work together in order to provide accountable, sustainable, business activity in a socially responsible setting.”

Speakers from all over the world will converge on the Loyola campus for the international conference, which is being held in the United States for the first time.

“The Conference on Corporate Responsibility conference is a very prestigious gathering and to have it held on Loyola’s campus is in perfect alignment with the Jesuit mission of active involvement in critical social justice issues. We are honored to have it on our campus.”

For more information about the conference, visit the Center for Spiritual Capital’s conference webpage or contact Stephanie Willis or Capaldi at 504-864-7028.
