The Loyola University New Orleans Spring 2011 Unified Commencement Ceremony will be webcasted live on Saturday, May 14, at 9:45 a.m. providing access to family and friends who are unable to attend.

The webcast for the College of Law commencement ceremony will be Saturday, May 14, at 5:45 p.m.

Award-winning actor Wendell Pierce will be the commencement ceremony distinguished speaker.

Pierce will receive an honorary degree along with Jane Lubchenco, Ph.D., head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; Cosimo Matassa, founder of J&M Recording Studio; and John B. Levert Jr., emeritus member of the Loyola University New Orleans Board of Trustees and the retired chief executive officer of Howard Weil Labouisse Friedrichs, Inc., a premier energy investment bank.

New Orleans Mayor Mitchell J. Landrieu, J.D. ’85, H ’05 will be the distinguished speaker for the College of Law Commencement Ceremony.
