Biever Guest Lecture Series presents women's studies lecture

Loyola University New Orleans’ Biever Guest Lecture Series, in conjunction with the Women’s Resource Center and the Women’s Studies Interdisciplinary Program, presents guest speaker Donna Lillian, Ph.D., in a lecture, “Women’s Studies or Gender Studies? What’s in a Name?” on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. in the Audubon Room, located in the Danna Student Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.
The lecture panelists will also feature Loyola faculty members Uriel Quesada, Ph.D., director of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, and Laura Hope, Ph.D., assistant professor of theatre arts and dance. Panelists will also include women’s studies students Holly Combs and Jennifer Hunt.
Lillian is director of women’s studies at Appalachian State University in North Carolina, where she emphasizes building women’s leadership skills and increasing awareness of the importance of the women’s studies field.
