It’ll be a holly, jolly Christmas at Loyola when Santa and his entourage make their annual stop for singing and good cheer!
The Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association invites the university community and friends to the Singing with Santa party, Sunday, Dec. 5 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. in the St. Charles Room, located in the Danna Student Center. Complimentary photos with Santa in his sleigh will be provided by New Orleans Event Photography courtesy of the Loyola Alumni Association.
Santa is making a special trip from the North Pole to visit local children and join in singing Christmas songs led by Bart the Elf with accompaniment provided by Elf/musician Cristina Perez ’10. In addition to the sing-along, there will be a cookie decorating station for kids and a book reading of “Gumbo Yah-Yah the Blue Alligator and the Big Storm” by author and alumnus Chris Eck ‘88.
After visiting with Santa, help the community usher in the season with “Christmas at Loyola: A Musical Celebration,” at 3 p.m., in Holy Name of Jesus Church. Each year, Christmas at Loyola showcases ensembles from the College of Music and Fine Arts, including the Loyola Chamber Orchestra, the University Chorus and the Loyola Chorale, and the Loyola Brass Ensemble in a program full of holiday grandeur. There will also be an audience sing-along of traditional Christmas carols.
