Fisher promoted to associate vice president for marketing and communications

Terrell Fisher was recently promoted to associate vice president for marketing and communications within Loyola University New Orleans’ Office of Institutional Advancement.

Thirty years after graduating from Loyola University, Fisher left private practice and returned to oversee the university’s official integrated marketing program. In her job, Fisher is responsible for enhancing the institution's image to achieve university goals and objectives through the implementation of university-wide marketing strategies that encompass advertising, photography, publications, public affairs and the university website.

“Fisher has done a remarkable job of building a strong, creative team,” said Victoria Frank, vice president for Loyola’s Office of Institutional Advancement. “Her leadership has resulted in greater visibility of the Loyola brand, and a more vibrant, relevant image of the university that speaks volumes to our students and prospective students.”

Some of the major projects Fisher has led during her tenure at Loyola include a U.S. News & World Report campaign-ranking strategy, redesign of the university Web site, an admissions marketing recruiting campaign, overseeing the production of three alumni publications, and maintaining branding and imaging consistency for the university.

In April 2008, the Ad Club of New Orleans named Fisher an Ad Person of the Year at the club's 2007-2008 ADDY Awards ceremony. Fisher's recognition as the Marketing/Communications Director of the Year was based on nominations and testimonials from area advertising and marketing professionals.

Fisher has more than 30 years experience in the advertising and marketing industry from both the client and agency side of the business, most of it garnered in New Orleans. Under her leadership, the marketing, publication and promotion efforts for Loyola University have resulted in national recognition. She holds a master’s degree in mass communication from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Loyola University New Orleans.
