Biology students present research findings at annual symposium
Loyola press release - March 23, 2009
Students from Loyola’s Department of Biological Sciences will present research ranging from molecular processes to how ecosystems function at the 19th annual Undergraduate Symposium.
The symposium takes place Friday, March 27, from 1-5 p.m., in Miller Hall, Room 114, on Loyola’s main campus. A reception will immediately follow the symposium.
Designed for senior biology majors who have chosen to receive honors credit by completing undergraduate research in biological science, the symposium gives participants the opportunity to present their research, some of which has taken several years to complete.
Each student has a faculty adviser and must complete several requirements in order to participate, some of which included preparing videos and PowerPoint presentations to communicate their research to faculty and peers, and completing a written version of their research and results.
