Becoming a Really GREAT Parish
Loyola press release - September 15, 2008
Loyola University New Orleans Institute for Ministry presents a workshop by Bill Huebsch, MTS, titled “Becoming a Really GREAT Parish,” on Saturday, Sept. 20. The workshop is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Audubon Room, in the Danna Student Center on Loyola’s main campus. The event is $25 per participant and open to the public.
This continuing education session will explore how churches can shift from being merely “good” to becoming thriving faith communities with more volunteer involvement, higher revenue streams and increased liturgical participation.
Huebsch will examine the methods of providing lifelong faith formation and the key features of parishes achieving great outcomes around today’s church.
The workshop will focus on forming and implementing realistic, effective plans for parishes and providing participants with many resources that they can take home and use.
Huebsch is well-regarded as an informative and knowledgeable speaker who has written more than a dozen books, including Dreams and Visions, a practical guide to pastoral planning for parishes implementing lifelong faith formation. He has been a diocesan and parish catechetical leader and has trained parish leaders in more than 130 dioceses in the U.S., England and Canada, all in the ways and means of lifelong faith formation.
For more information or to schedule an interview with Huebsch, contact Diane Blair at 865-3399 or dblair@loyno.edu.
