New Orleans, LA.- Loyola athletic director Dr. Michael Giorlando announced today that head baseball coach Doc Beeman has resigned to take the head coach position at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas.

Following a stint as an assistant coach at Georgetown, Beeman came to Loyola in July of 2004. The Wolfpack finished the 2007 campaign with a 18-39 record.

A search for a new coach will begin immediately according to Giorlando.
