V-Day Loyola University New Orleans 2007
Loyola announcement - February 7, 2007
Alpha Psi Omega Fraternity and the Women’s Issues Organization invite you to join in V-Day Loyola University New Orleans 2007. This year’s events will include the art event Tie-dying for Peace, and the benefit production of Eve Ensler's award-winning play, “The Vagina Monologues.” Tie-dying for Peace will take place February 8, 2007, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., on the Danna Center Porch. Participants at the event will have a chance to buy and tie-dye their own V-Day 2007 shirt. The tie-dyed shirts can be used as tickets to Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues," which will be staged on February 14, 2007, from 6:30. to 8 p.m. in Louis J Roussel Performance Hall.
The V-Day events are organized to raise awareness to stop violence against women and girls and to raise funds for Alpha Psi Omega’s beneficiaries– The Metropolitan Battered Women’s Association. The V-Day College Campaign strives to empower women to find their collective voices and demand an end to the epidemic levels of violence and abuse on their campuses, in their communities, and around the world.
Tickets to the production are $7. For information about the production or any of the events please contact Amanda Credeur at firstname.lastname@example.org
