Our tornado response for on-campus students went without a hitch. Even without power we were able to feed 1200 students seamlessly. We communicated to all resident students in person, and then by flyers regarding classes being first postponed and then cancelled. We also were able to respond to individual commuter students directly affected by the storm. What we didn't do well was to follow up with an official university communication to our Loyola community. Due to power outages, our announcements were made about the university through local television and radio, and the later through our website which came back up with emergency power after several hours.
