Professor John Mosier speaks at National World War II Museum
Loyola press release - February 16, 2007
The University of New Orleans Metropolitan College will present a new series of discussions as part of the new Eisenhower Center Military History Roundtable. One of the initiatives of the reborn Eisenhower Center (EC) and its new director, Dr. Allan Millett, is to reestablish a Greater New Orleans Military Roundtable. This group will meet monthly, January through May and September through December, to focus on the history of the 20th century. The discussion leaders will be authors of books and/or other publications noted for their original contribution to the field.
The inaugural session will feature John Mosier, Ph.D., professor of English at Loyola University New Orleans, on Wednesday, February 21, at 4:30 p.m., in the U.S.S. Missouri Room on the third floor of the museum. His many works include three of special interest to the roundtable discussion, Cross of Iron, Myth of the Great War, and The Blitzkrig Myth. Mosier's talk will focus on the German Army relating to both of the world wars.
