Moot Court team wins first national competition

(New Orleans) The Loyola University New Orleans College of Law Moot Court Team won the 26th Annual International Information Technology and Privacy Law Competition at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, finishing first out of 24 teams. Team members included brief writer Bill Burst, from St. Louis, Missouri; oralists Katie Francioni, from New Orleans, and Rick Brown, from Colorado Springs, Colorado; and board coach Katy Kennedy from St. Simons Island, Georgia. According to BestMootCourtPrograms.com, Loyola New Orleans is currently ranked as the 24th best program in the nation.

Loyola Moot Court Program endeavors to foster the art of appellate advocacy with responsiveness and enthusiasm through team advancement, academic support, and community involvement, thereby enhancing national recognition and pride among its members.
