Loyola’s Bateman Team Places Second in PRSSA National Competition

(New Orleans)— The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Bateman Team at Loyola University New Orleans placed second at the final competition, held June 1-4 in Knoxville, Tenn. Loyola Bateman teams have been in the top five every year since 1996.
This year’s competition offered two categories; Habitat for Humanity International or teams could choose their local affiliates. The Loyola Bateman team presented their “Get Back in the Habit” campaign for the New Orleans Affiliate for Habitat for Humanity.
Loyola’s Bateman Team members are Christina Blanco, a senior from Metairie; Kerri Driscoll, a senior from Larkspur, Colo.; Katie Eisenhart, a junior from Bowie, Md.; Courtney Fisher, a junior from Brandon, Fl.; and Alexis Lalor, a senior from Chittenango, N.Y.
Loyola’s Bateman team competed against four other universities: University of South Carolina, first place; University of Maryland, third place; Lee University, fourth place; and Illinois State University, fifth place. Fifty-nine universities competed in the local affiliate track.
