(New Orleans)— 2005 New Orleans International Piano Competition Gold Medalist Tanya Bannister will perform on Friday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m., in Roussel Hall as part of Loyola’s annual Montage Series. Bannister’s performance is sponsored by the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students.

Bannister was the winner of the 2003 Concert Artists Guild International Competition. She was recently awarded the prestigious Wigmore award from the Royal Academy of Music, and she was also a winner of the Woolsey Hall Competition at Yale. Bannister has held recitals in the Kleine Zaal of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam , Salle Cortot in Paris , Teatro Communale in Bologna , Tokyo 's Nikkei Hall, London 's Queen Elizabeth and Wigmore Halls, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall for her New York recital debut on the CAG Concert Series.
