2006 Commencement

The College of Arts and Sciences Commencement Ceremony will be held at 9 a.m., on Saturday, April 29, in the Marquette Horseshoe. R.W. “Johnny” Apple, Jr., writer and New York Times columnist, will receive an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters, and give commencement remarks. Sally L. Stroup, Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education and an alumna of the School of Law, will also receive an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. The rain site for the ceremony will be in the Recreational Sports Complex.

The College of Music, College of Business Administration, and City College Commencement Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 29, in the Marquette Horseshoe. James Carville, political consultant and analyst, will give the commencement remarks. New Orleans legend and musician Pete Fountain will receive an honorary degree of Doctor of Music. The rain location for the ceremonies will be in the Recreational Sports Complex.
