Spirit Fest 2006 kicks off Sunday, April 2, 2006, in the Loyola Peace Quad, from 2 - 6 p.m. All the proceeds from this event will benefit the Common Ground Relief Effort, a volunteer organization that offers immediate assistance to victims of hurricanes and has established a variety of programs to help rebuild New Orleans.

The New Orleans Spirit Association, comprised of cheerleaders, pom squad members, and dance teams from Dillard University, Loyola, University of New Orleans, and Xavier University, sponsors Sprit Fest.
