Loyola Reaffirms Accreditation with SACS

(New Orleans) — Loyola received good news last week when a committee from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) spent three days on campus and determined Loyola has successfully completed all that is required for the reaffirmation of its accreditation.

The committee reported that Loyola is in full compliance with the 80 principles of accreditation. In addition, Loyola’s Quality Enhancement Program (QEP), “Thinking Critically, Acting Justly,” was accepted with no recommendations for changes. Loyola will now begin the process of implementing the QEP over the next five years.

University President Rev. Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J. says, “This is a moment for us to celebrate. I want to thank the entire campus community for all you have done over the last six months to support Loyola and our recovery. We now begin the process of implementing the QEP over the next five years.”
