Loyola announcement - March 23, 2006
Loyola law students, in cooperation with legal organizations such as the St. Thomas More Society and the Loyola Student Bar Association, are sponsoring Race Judicata on Saturday, April 1, in Audubon Park. Race Judicata is in its 17th year, and the proceeds from this year's race will benefit Boys Hope Girls Hope.
Boys Hope Girls Hope is a non-profit privately funded multi-denominational organization that helps at-risk children with academic potential by providing long-term, value centered homes coupled with a private college preparatory education. The organization lost two of the homes that it boards boys and girls in to Hurricane Katrina.
Race day registration begins at 7:30 a.m., at Audubon Shelter Tent, with a one-mile fun run/walk starting at 8:30 a.m., and a 5K run beginning at 9 a.m. Pre-race registration is $15 through March 31, and $18 the day of the race. Team registration is $60 for five members. The cost includes a race T-shirt and race-day food and drinks.
Sponsorship for Race Judicata is available on three levels, and awards will recognize top male and female competitors, law students, and firm teams. To register or sponsor the race, visit http//www.bhghnola.org. For more information, please leave a message at (504) 484-7744.
