Loyola press release - November 8, 2006

(New Orleans)ŚLoyola University New Orleans College of Law dedicated the Michael X. St. Martin Trial Classroom on Friday, November 3, 2006.

The Michael X. St. Martin Trial Classroom is used to teach the Trial Practice Seminar, holds Moot Court student competitions, and is also used as a traditional classroom for law classes. The trial classroom layout prepares students for future work in the courtroom.

Michael X. St, Martin, a 1967 graduate of the College of Law, has been a loyal and generous supporter of the college for many years. He is a former member of Loyolaĺs Board of Trustees and an emeritus member of the College of Law Visiting Committee. In 1998, he and his wife, Virginia, made a major gift commitment to Thresholds: the Campaign for Loyola University which was combined with a gift from the family of the late Wendell H. Gauthier, Lĺ70, and was used to fund the Wendell H. Gauthier-Michael X. St. Martin Eminent Scholar Chair in Environmental Law.

St. Martin continues to generously support the College of Law and serves as an active and involved alumnus. His encouragement of other alumni to pledge support and participate in alumni initiatives has been and continues to be a tremendous asset for the College of Law.

Loyola University New Orleans is a Jesuit-Catholic institution with a total student enrollment of 4,724 including 800 law students.
