Public Relations Students win Silver Anvils

Silver Anvils won by Loyola Public Relations Student Society of America

PRSSA Bateman Team 2005 and Bateman Team 2006 both won Silver Anvils, the highest award given, at the
The “Get Back in the Habit” campaign from Loyola PRSSA Bateman Team 2006 received an Award of Excellence and Silver Anvil in the category of External Relations/Non Profit. The “Check Out My Ethics” campaign from Loyola PRSSA Bateman Team 2005 received an Award of Excellence and Silver Anvil in the category of Internal Relations. Overall, two of the six Silver Anvils were awarded to Loyola public relations students. The Bateman teams were competing against many local communications agencies, non-profits and corporations of outstanding reputation.
Meg Courtney, A’01, received the "Great Ball of Fire Award," designated by the president of the PRSA chapter for a member's outstanding contribution. This is the second time that Meg has received this honor.
Other Silver Anvil winners were Deveney Communication and Audubon Aquarium of Americas, Fed Ex, Ketchum Bring Home the Penquins, Ann Barks & Ann Christian, and Lockheed Martin.
Congratulations to Michael Cowen and the following Bateman students: Christina Blanco, Kerri Driscoll, Katie Eisenhart, Courtney Fisher, Alexis Lalor, Cat Haro, Jacqueline Bodet, Andrea Ganier, Kirby Scelfo, and Jessica Venezia. It was an exciting night for Loyola mass communication majors in the public relations sequence.
Loyola University New Orleans is a Jesuit-Catholic institution with a total student enrollment of 4,724 including 800 law students.
