Celebrated conductor Klauspeter Seibel will be the guest artist at this week's music student recital hour, on Thursday, October 12, at 12:30 p.m., in Nunemaker Auditorium.

Former music director of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), Seibel is currently Principal Guest Conductor of the LPO and a regular guest conductor at the opera houses in both Frankfurt and Dresden. He has also served as music director of the Nuremberg Symphony, Freiburg Opera and Philharmonic, Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, and Kiel Opera and Philharmonic.

Patti Adams, instructor of flute and piccolo and assistant principal flute for the LPO, organized the visit. Adams encourages all students to attend, noting that, “It is a wonderful opportunity for all our music students to hear this world-class musician share his insights.”
