Loyola University New Orleans Reunion Plans Underway

(New Orleans)—Loyola University New Orleans will host Reunion Weekend on October 20-22, 2006. During the weekend, the university will honor the Classes of 1955 and 1956, Med Tech and Dental Hygiene Alumni, Honor Program/Presidential Scholars and past Golden Wolves. At the Annual Alumni Association Luncheon on Friday, the 2006-2007 Adjutor Hominum Award will be presented.

Friday, October 20, 2006

  • Golden Wolves Reception and Induction Ceremony Honoring the Classes of 1955 and 1956; 10:30 a.m., Audubon Room, Danna Center
  • Loyola University New Orleans Annual Alumni Association Luncheon; Noon, St. Charles Room, Danna Center, $15 per person, $30 per couple
  • Campus and J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library Tours; 1:30 p.m.; meet outside of Monroe Library
  • Does a Year Make a Difference? Progress in the Restoration of Greater New Orleans, an informative presentation by Robert Thomas, Ph.D., chair of Environmental Communications; 2 p.m., Octavia I & II, Danna Center
  • Our Jesuit Heritage, a spirited lecture by Rev. James C. Carter, S.J., alumni chaplain and former university president and chancellor; 3 p.m., Octavia I & II, Danna Center
  • “How We Are Preserving Our Jesuit Heritage”, a discussion with Bob Gross, director of planned giving; 3:30 p.m., Octavia I & II, Danna Center
  • Investiture Ceremony for Endowed Professors; 4 p.m., Audubon Room, Danna Center
  • President’s Welcome Reception; 5-7 p.m., Courtyard outside the J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library
  • Classes of 1996 and 2001 Reunion Party; 6-9 p.m., Bruno’s Bar, 7601 Maple St., New Orleans, $15 per person

Saturday, October 21, 2006

  • Med Tech and Dental Hygiene Alumni Luncheon; 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m., Collins C. Diboll Gallery, fourth floor, Monroe Library, $15 per person
  • Presidential Scholars/Honors Alumni Cocktail Party; 5 p.m., A Jesuit Experiment, Honors Program Video Documentary, Monroe Library Multimedia Room; 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Cocktail Party, Collins C. Diboll Gallery, fourth floor, Monroe Library, $20 per person; $35 per couple
