Fifth Annual Wolves on the Prowl National Community Service Day
Loyola press release - October 25, 2006
(
Volunteers will meet on the Loyola campus in the Peace Quad for an opening prayer at 8 a.m. Buses will depart shortly thereafter for Habitat for Humanity’s house building site in
The Wolves on the Prowl tradition supports Loyola’s call for social justice and the Jesuit ideal of “men and women with and for others.” Participants will seek perspective on their service through group and personal reflection. Reflection, an Ignatian value, gives meaning to action.
The Student Government Association is coordinating the local effort, while the Office of Alumni & Parent Relations is overseeing the national projects. Members from the student and alumni communities will help lead the individual projects.
SGA and the Alumni Office will provide transportation, food, and water for all participants. The first 250 volunteers to meet in the Peace Quad will also receive a free Wolves on the Prowl T-shirt. For a complete listing of activities around the county, please see the following website: http://alumni.loyno.edu/wolvesontheprowl/wolves_prowl_2006.html.
