(New Orleans)--The Loyola Music Industry club, Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association (MEISA) will hold the 2006 Southeast Regional Conference on campus Saturday, October 14, 2006, from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The one day MEISA conference focuses on the latest trends in the music and entertainment industry and features producer and musician George Howard as the keynote speaker, as well as a panel with well-known radio executives, and various music industry related workshops throughout the day. The conference concludes with a question and answer session and performance by Glasgow!

The goal of the conference is to facilitate access to professionals in the industry, to gain knowledge from speakers and workshops given at the conference, and to make connections by networking with others who share similar interests in the music and entertainment industry

“This experience will give students, musicians, and anyone interested in the music industry, a beneficial look into the music industry as well as provides an opportunity for them to network with industry leaders,” explains Sandy Hinderlie, internationally-known musician and associate professor of music.
