(New Orleans)— U.S. Representative Bobby Jindal will speak tonight, Thursday, January 26, at 8 p.m. in Roussel Hall about the “Recovery of New Orleans” in the aftermath of Katrina. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Jindal represents the First District of Louisiana, which includes portions of six parishes - Washington, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Orleans, Jefferson and St. Charles. He sits on the House Committee on Homeland Security, the House Committee on Resources, and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce.
Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the Louisiana Public School System, Brown University, and Oxford University, which he attended as a Rhodes Scholar.
