Looking to rebuild the city of New Orleans with your bare hands? Join “Loyola Cares Day,” which will mark the start of the first of a series of community service projects at Loyola University New Orleans in the post-Katrina era. The projects are sponsored by Loyola University Community Action Program (LUCAP).

· Habitat for Humanity, morning shift: 7:15 a.m. – 12 p.m.; afternoon shift: 12:30 – 4 p.m., 2040 Delachaise St.
· ARC of Greater New Orleans gardening and various projects,
9 a.m. – 1 p.m., 5700 Loyola Ave.
· CARE project mentoring children in the New Orleans central city area, 10:15 a.m. – 1:45 p.m., 2100 Martin Luther King Blvd.
