LIM to host reception and book signing at NALM Annual Conference

Loyola’s Institute for Ministry will host an alumni and student reception and book signing during the National Association for Lay Ministry Annual Conference (NALM), on Friday, June 3, 2005, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, at Poydras and Loyola avenues.

Bernard Cooke, Th.D., adjunct professor at Loyola University New Orleans, will be honored at the reception and will sign copies of his books, which will be available for purchase. Cooke has written more than 19 books, including Ministry to Word and Sacrament, The Distancing of God, God’s Beloved, Sacraments and Sacramentality, and Power and the Spirit of God: Toward an Experienced-Based Pneumatology.

The NALM conference will take place over the weekend of June 3 and many other Loyola faculty will present workshops, including associate professor at LIM, Barbara Fleischer, Ph.D., and assistant professor and director of LIM, Mark Markuly, Ph.D.

In addition, three Loyola graduates will present workshops, Sister Joy Manthey, C.S.J., Susan Sweet, and Mona Villarrubia.
