Advertising team wins 1st place

For the sixth time in 12 years, Loyola University New Orleans’ advertising team won first place in the seventh District National Student Advertising Competition. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the competition was held in Knoxville, April 14 – 16.

The team, all communications majors, comprised of Christy Rowley of New Orleans; Mary Lanaux of Fairhope, AL; Amy Bowles from New Orleans, Nicole Thiberville from New Orleans; Robyn Alello from Marrero; Aimee Alleman of Metairie; Heather Cunningham from Pittsburgh, PA; Virginia King from Memphis, TN; Deanna McShan of Kentwood, LA; Lindsay Southall of Baton Rouge; Allison Thompson of Irvine, CA; Andrea Rey of Coral Gables, FL; Sharon Sibley from Jefferson, LA; Ian Siparsky of Denver, CO; and Jay Cardwell from Coral Gables, FL.
