Advertising team wins 1st place
For the sixth time in 12 years, Loyola University New Orleans’ advertising team won first place in the seventh District National Student Advertising Competition. Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the competition was held in
Students from 9 universities in
32-page plans book and a 20-minute multi-media creative presentation.
Loyola’s winning campaign was developed as part of a semester-long course in advanced advertising campaigns, with Communications Chair Teri Henley as the faculty adviser and communications Assistant Professor Debra Woodfork as the co-adviser for the team. The team, all communications majors, comprised of Christy Rowley of New Orleans; Mary Lanaux of Fairhope, AL; Amy Bowles from New Orleans, Nicole Thiberville from New Orleans; Robyn Alello from Marrero; Aimee Alleman of Metairie; Heather Cunningham from Pittsburgh, PA; Virginia King from Memphis, TN; Deanna McShan of Kentwood, LA; Lindsay Southall of Baton Rouge; Allison Thompson of Irvine, CA; Andrea Rey of Coral Gables, FL; Sharon Sibley from Jefferson, LA; Ian Siparsky of Denver, CO; and Jay Cardwell from Coral Gables, FL.
