Peacekeeping Officer talks about the Crisis in Darfur April 19

Parker Lumpkin, U.S. Peacekeeping Officer in U.S. Embassy, Kartoum, Sudan, has recently returned from deployment in the Sudan in which he served as liaison between the United States and African Union (AU). Lumpkin headed up a construction battalion that built facilities the AU would use for their peacekeeping mission. He is going to lecture on the “Crisis in Darfur” in the Monroe Library, Seminar Room 4, on Tuesday, April 19 at 6 p.m.
