Loyola University and Delgado Community College Sign Articulation

Loyola press release - September 22, 2004

(New Orleans) Loyola University New Orleans and Delgado Community College will sign a historic articulation agreement on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. Participating in the articulation signing will be Loyola President Fr. Kevin Wildes, S.J., Delgado Chancellor Dr. Alex Johnson, and Loyola Provost Dr. Walter Harris, Jr. The signing will take place at 4 p.m. in the Loyola president’s office, Marquette Hall, Room 221.

This articulation agreement is a culmination of 17 years of Loyola University and Delgado Community College administrators collaborating to develop a course transfer guide and program articulations that help Delgado students transition into Loyola’s baccalaureate degree programs. Associate deans from the four undergraduate colleges at Loyola consulted their respective faculties to determine how academic courses listed in Delgado’s 2003-2004 Catalog paralleled those offered at Loyola. Those efforts, held in conjunction with select Delgado faculty members and administrators, led to the development of a new course-by-course transfer guide, leading to articulated programs.

Articulations for Delgado associate degree programs have been established with undergraduate degree programs housed in Loyola’s City College. Articulation agreements exist for the following Delgado—Loyola City College programs:

  • Delgado Associate of Science (AS) in Management to the Loyola Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Human and Organizational Development
