Excellence in Research Award
Deadline for Nominations and Complete Packets:Tuesday, April 13th, 2004 at 4:30 PMA&S Dean’s Office, Bobet 202
Nominations are requested for the Annual College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Research Award.
The College of A&S Excellence in Research Award is given to someone who has demonstrated consistent superiority in scholarship as evidenced in the publication of books, articles in refereed journals, creative endeavors, conference publications, as well as other activities appropriate to their academic field. With the exception of the faculty members on the A&S awards committee*, all current A&S faculty members, full or part-time, are eligible for nomination.
The award will be presented at the A&S Honors Convocation. The winner will be notified by Friday, April 30th, 2004.
The selection committee, which consists of seven faculty members from the A&S awards committee, will base its decision on the substance and persuasiveness of the packet of supporting materials.
All nominees are responsible for cooperating in the assembling of a packet of supporting materials including:§ Curriculum Vitae (CV)§ External letters of recommendation§ Internal letters of recommendation§ Sample publications§ Sample grants§ Any other research-related materials
* The faculty members on the A& S awards committee are Nancy Anderson, Maurice Brungardt, Patrick Bourgeois, Peter Burns, Maria Calzada, Mary McCay, Joseph L. Etherton, Sarah M. Gualtieri, Peter Rogers, and Maureen Shuh. These faculty members are not eligible for nomination.
