Same Sex Marriage Debate Scheduled

The Loyola University New Orleans Society of Civil Engagement presents “Discourse on Same Sex Marriages in the United States” scheduled for Thursday, March 18 at 7 p.m. in the Audubon Room, Danna Center. The resolution-oriented debate on the issue of same sex marriages in the United States will feature the Honorable Darrell White, retired judge, Baton Rouge City Court and Michael Bronski, journalist and cultural critic.
White is the past president of the Louisiana City Judges’ Association as well as a member of numerous national, state, and local judicial organizations. Bronski is an internationally known author, scholar, and lecturer. He is the host of a weekly radio show “Bronski’s Beat” and appeared on numerous television and radio programs.
The debate is co-sponsored by the College Republicans of Loyola, Compass, the Loyola Society of Civil Engagement (LSCE), the Student Democrats of Loyola, and the University Programming Board (UPB).
