Students "Go Bananas" for United Way with Dance-a-thon
Loyola announcement - August 28, 2003
To raise awareness of the Loyola University New Orleans United Way campaign October 6 - 17, the Black Student Union, the Student Government Association, and the University Programming Board are sponsoring a way for students to "Go Bananas." The winner of the "Go Bananas" Dance-a-thon will win a spring break vacation package for two.
The competition will be held on Friday, September 5, in the St. Charles Room, from 3:30 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. To dance, students will pay $5. If they make a $10 donation, they receive a t-shirt and complimentary drink tickets.
Throughout the evening, other great prizes will be raffled off, all donated by local businesses. Featured will be a live DJ, food and beverages. Look for the registration booth under the grid in the Danna Center Lounge. The Loyola community, students, faculty and staff, is invited to cut a rug for United Way. For additional information, contact UPB member Katie Linyard, 2132.
