Sr. Helen Prejean, CSJ, comes to campus to discuss capital punchishment

WHAT: Sr. Helen Prejean, author of the best-selling book Dead Man Walking and a vocal opponent of capital punishment, will lead a discussion at Loyola University New Orleans. One exonerated death row inmate will join Prejean to share his personal story of being on death row and view of the death penalty system.

The event is arranged by the College of Arts and Sciences as an extension of academic orientation for all incoming students who will be required to read Dead Man Walking. A book signing follows.

WHEN: Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Roussel Hall in the Communications/Music Complex, 6363 St. Charles Ave.

The event is free and open to the public.
