Interpersonal Relationships, Communication, and the Dimensions of Diversity

On Monday, March 17 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Dr. Erice E. Doss will present a student diversity workshop, examining the main dimensions of diversity including gender, ethnicity, race and age, and how these dimensions affect our daily interpersonal relationships and communication. Dr. Doss will then facilitate a dialouge on ways higher education institutions can provide students with opportunities to experience diversity.

Currently a member of the National Society for Experiential Education Board of Directors, Dr. Doss has extensive experience in consulting, teaching, speaking, and counseling. Employed in the Division of Students Affairs at Tennessee State University, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, an Approved Clinical Supervisor and a State Civil Dispute/Family and Special Education Mediator. She has conducted diversity and organizational/development workshops for businesses, student groups, and various professional and civic organizations, including General Motors Institute of Technology and Engineering, Georgia State University, Proctor and Gamble, and the the Central Intelligence Agency.
